about

This is a great one. This song tells the true story of the very first Blues.....

lyrics

I wanna tell you all a story ‘bout when the world was young.
Well the first man, he did appear and the blues, they had begun.
I got the prehistoric blues goin’ back to the roots of time, yea.
I got the prehistoric blues, goin’ back to the roots of time.

Well the first man needed fire just to keep his body warm.
And then he found himself a cave to stay dry in a storm.
He always kept an open eye while huntin’ for his meat,
‘cause he don’t want to end up under no dinosaurs’ feet.

I got the prehistoric blues goin’ back to the roots of time, oh yea.
I got the prehistoric blues goin’ back to the roots of time.

Well, everything’s the same today
We work to stay alive
Well, nothin’s really changed since then
We all need to survive
Don’t want our kids to hunger
Don’t want our house too cold.
Don’t wanna get too sick or die,
Just be happy when we’re old.

I got the prehistoric blues goin’ back to the roots of time, back to the very beginning.
I got the prehistoric blues, goin’ back to the roots of time.
